In the pipeline since 2008 and created in 2013 Grand Prix Podcast has already had a few iterations. In 2008 Elton started to listen to podcasts, with Formula 1 being one of his biggest ‘geek outs’ in his life the idea of creating a podcast that covers each round of F1 Grand Prix was born.
The idea was there so the challenge was on to find like minded enthusiasts but that is easier said than done.
It’s not until 2013 and over 150 podcasts episodes later (An Apotheosis of a Bombast, Rethinking LOST, Shonky Lab) that GrandPrixPodcast.com was purchased (goodness knows why that hadn’t been snapped up sooner) and Elton set his sights on creating the show.
First time around was with Chris Lancaster who was a pleasure to work with but with work commitments and a total lack of organisation on Elton’s part, Chris stepped down.
Elton continued on to complete 2014 and start 2015 but various events interrupted recording (along with a very uninspiring season) and everything was shelved until 2016.
Andy Poulastides has now stepped up to join Elton and they will be bringing a new style to the show.
Let’s go racing.
